Rayagada, Jun 15: The driver of an 108 ambulance had a narrow escape after the vehicle met with a road accident occurred on NH-44 near Sargiguda-Tataguda under Tikiri police limits in Rayagada district.

According to reports, the accident occurred near Sargiguda-Tataguda when a speeding truck rammed into the vehicle from behind. The impact left the ambulance severely mangled, but fortunately, no patient was inside at the time of the crash.

The ambulance driver narrowly escaped with minor injuries, avoiding a major tragedy.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident, examining whether reckless driving or other factors contributed to the collision.
