Bhubaneswar, July 12: Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the opening of Puri's Shreemandir Ratna Bhandar will be finalized by tomorrow.
"The SOP on Ratna Bhandar opening is being examined. A final decision will be taken today or tomorrow," Harichandan told reporters.
Notably, the Ratna Bhandar supervisory committee chaired by Justice Biswanath Rath prepared SoP for the opening of the temple's treasure house. The said SOP was discussed in detail by the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee headed by Gajapati Maharaja. After some additions, the SOP was forwarded to the State government for final approval.

✨The Ratna Bhandar had been opened in 2918 for the last time. The lock may not be opened with the keys. If such a situation arises, the lock will be broken. The State government has to give permission. This is believed to be the major point of the SOP.
The Ratna Bhandar panel has set July 14 for opening of the treasure house. Repairing of walls and roof of inner Ratna Bhandar and inventorization are the two major works to be done.
