Kendrapara, Jul 22: A woman lost her life after she was pushed by her son during a domestic altercation at Bishnupur village under Aupada Panchayat in Pattamundai block, Kendrapara district.

According to reports, the accused, Manoranjan Mallick, in an inebriated state reached home and started an altercation with his wife over some issue. Meanwhile, his mother, Shantilata Mallick, intervened to stop the violence. In a fit of rage, Manoranjan allegedly pushed his mother forcefully, leading to her tragic death.

Following this, police reached the spot and detained Manoranjan to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

A case has been registered and a probe is underway.
