Boudh, Jan 23: A face-off between SOG jawans and naxalites began this morning in the Nalikumpa jungles under Manamunda police station limits in Boudh district. 

In the last few months there were periodic encounters between naxalites and the secutity forces. 

Acting on a tip-off, the SOG forces started an operation this morning and seized many weapons and food items of the naxalites.
