Ghasipura, Mar 10: Ghasipura Police had a huge success in stopping sand smuggling in the area after conducting a sudden raid in Keonjhar district.

The sudden raid was conducted jointly by Ghasipura Police and a special squad Sunday night. They successfully seized eight sand-laden tractors, two haiwas and a JCB machine from the spot, which comes under Ghasipura police limits.

In addition, Ghasipura Police also detained eight persons, who were at the spot. With the increasing smuggling of sand in the Ghasipura police station area, people had become helpless. However, this successful raid now gives the locals something to cheer for.
