Puri, Sept 1: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration is in action mode now. It has initiated all concerted efforts to maintain discipline in all spheres of the Shreemandir premises.
While the earlier BJD government had used the temple office to rehabilitate retired personnel, the SJTA headed by Arabinda Padhee has removed them.
Most of the retired officials belonged to the revenue department. While allegations were that Shreemandir was made a rehabilitation center for retired government officials, the SJTA's removal move has been hailed by many.
Even employees above 70 years of age were employed in different posts. Their tenures were being enhanced. While 12 were deployed in the SJTA office, the rest were engaged as Amins and Coordination Officers. Development Officer Ajaya Kumar Jena and Land Officer Laxman Kumar Swain were among those who were shown the door.
