Puri, May 3: A crucial meeting on the issue of the alleged use of the leftover ‘Nabakalebara’ wood for making idols for the Digha Jagannath Temple is underway here. Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee is presiding over the meeting.
Notably, the State government yesterday announced an investigation into the alleged issue by the SJTA.
In the first phase, Padhee is discussing with the servitors like Deulakaran, Tadhukaran and Pattajoshi Mohapatra. Later, he is scheduled to discuss with the four Badagrahis (Main Servitors of the four deities- Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Chakraraj Sudarshan), and three main carpenters who make Raths.

✨Notably, Ramakrushna Das Mahapatra, a senior Daitapati servitor of the Puri Shreemandir, has stirred the controversy after giving statements that he used leftover neem wood from the 2015 Nabakalebara to make the idols at the Digha temple.
