Bhubaneswar, Apr 9: Even though Odisha got slight relief from heatwave conditions for the last couple of days due to Nor'westers, sizzling temperature is likely to return to the State from April 13.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, the dry wind will start blowing from the west and northwest directions which is likely to cause a rise in daytime temperature. Temperature is likely to cross 40 degree Celsius at some places in the interior and western parts of the State.
The highest maximum temperature of 38.7°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.6°C was recorded at Angul by 1.30 pm today, stated the weather office.

The temperature is likely to increase by 2 to 4°C in the next three days, it said.
