Bhubaneswar, March 16: The Commissionerate Police arrested six accused persons in the two killing cases that occurred at two separate places in Bhubaneswar during Holi celebrations yesterday.
One accused is still at large.
Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena informed about the arrests made in connection with the murders that occurred at Shantipali Slum under Shaheed Nagar police station and Sameigadia under the Mancheswar police station.
Police have arrested 2 people in connection with the murder of Gopi Guni at Shantipall. The two arrested have been identified as Baba Guni and a minor boy. Baba Guni has several criminal cases pending against him at different police stations in the city.

✨The DCP said four persons have been arrested in connection with the murder at Shantipalli slum. The arrestees have been identified as main accused, Tanmaya Behera alias Milu and his associates, Padmanava Behera, Prasant Behera, and Sameer Swain. A car and an auto-rickshaw have been seized from them, said the DCP.
Police arrested Tanmaya from the Pipili area. Apprehending arrest, Tanmaya had reportedly consumed a poisonous fruit called 'Dimiri Fala' to end his life. He has been admitted to a hospital, and his condition is stated to be stable.
These accused persons also have cases pending against them at different police stations. The four had stabbed a youth to death following a quarrel with him on the road.
