Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam To Arrive In Odisha Today

Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will arrive in Odisha today on a two-day visit to the state.
Tharman is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at around 11.30 AM.
According to official sources, the visiting President will explore the Konark Sun Temple, a vaccine manufacturing facility, and the World Skill Centre in Bhubaneswar during his stay in the State.
President Tharman’s engagements also include discussions with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to strengthen economic ties and exploring mutual opportunities between Singapore and Odisha.

✨An MoU between the Skill Development and Technical Education (SD&TE) department of the Odisha government and ITE Education Services (ITEES), Singapore, will be signed at World Skill Centre here in the presence of Tharman and Majhi to improve the skill development ecosystem, especially for the semiconductor sector in the State.
This trip marks Tharman’s first visit to the state before the Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha conclave on January 28 and 29.
