Bhubaneswar, Nov 10: Renowned Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar, fondly known as the “Melody King” of Odisha, has shown signs of recovery and was shifted out of the ventilator at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Hospital sources confirmed that his condition is now stable and he has been moved to the medicine ward for continued treatment.

Majumdar was admitted in a critical state due to pneumonia and liver-related complications, including cirrhosis. Over the past few days, his health had deteriorated, prompting intensive care and ventilator support. However, doctors now report encouraging progress in his recovery.

Known for his ability to captivate audiences with soulful compositions, Majumdar has been a pillar of the Odia music industry for decades. His melodies have touched countless hearts, and news of his improving health has brought relief to fans and well-wishers across the state.
