Puri, Jan 4: The Shrimandir Parikrama Prakalpa (Shrimandir Heritage Corridor Project) will be inaugurated on January 17 for which preparations have reached the final stage. 

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb today.  The Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), District Collector, Shrimandir Managing Committee members and SJTA and district administration officials were present. 

It was revealed that the process for sacred Yajna will be held from January 12, as per the earlier schedule.

Spiritual and cultural programmes will be organised for three days. Officials of 60 prime temples of the country will attend the inauguration event. Special arrangements will be made for the stay of the guests under the direct guidance of the Additional Collector, Puri. Senior servitors and OAS officers will be providing hospitality. 

Time table for the Yajna will be set as per the zodiac sign and naxatra of the Puri king. Ankurapona will be held on the Aishanya Kona (North-East Corner) of the Shrimandir on January 15. 

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will join the Purnahuti of Yajna on January 17. 

In the latest development concerning the project, Hajuri Krushnachandra Khuntia, a senor servitor, argued that the Prime Minister and the President of the country should be invited to the sacred event.
