Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: Former BJD leader Shreemayee Mishra has once again stirred political debate with a sharp social media post, this time questioning the party’s internal succession battles and the growing influence of former bureaucrat Sujata Karthikeyan.

Shreemayee criticized the ongoing tussle over succession within the BJD. Her remarks echo the sentiments of several rebel voices within the BJD who have openly opposed what they describe as undue interference. The issue has intensified amid speculation over who will eventually inherit the party’s leadership mantle.

In her latest post, Shreemayee chose poetry as her medium of attack. Without naming individuals directly, she suggested that the party chief is withholding importance and refusing to signal who might be the next leader. The poem, titled Sanket (Signal), paints a picture of uncertainty: who will wear the “green crown,” who belongs to which team, and who will be entrusted with responsibility.
