Talcher, Aug 31: The city of Talcher witnessed a shocking incident as a car driven by an intoxicated driver caused a series of collisions, injuring more than ten people.

According to reports, a white-coloured car, registered in Sundargarh, was speeding recklessly through the festive streets. The vehicle broke through police barricades and rammed into over 20 vehicles, including bikes and scooters. The accident occurred near ITI Square, and the car continued its rampage toward Bypass Square, hitting multiple vehicles from behind.

CCTV footage captured the horrifying moments, showing people being thrown off their vehicles and some being dragged a distance on the car’s bonnet.

The injured were immediately rushed to nearby hospital.

Reportedly, the driver was arrested and is currently being interrogated. The front portion of the car was found to be severely damaged.
