According to reports, Lalit had gone to Bujibanga waterfall with his classmates th. While taking a selfie near the edge, he slipped and fell, sustaining severe injuries.

✨Lalit was initially rushed to Biswanathpur Hospital, later
shifted to Saheed Rendo Majhi Medical College and Hospital in Bhawanipatna, and
subsequently referred to Burla Medical College. However, he succumbed to his
injuries on the way to Burla.

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the village, highlighting once again the dangers of risky behaviour near natural sites. Local residents expressed shock over the untimely death of the young student.
Local authorities have urged students and visitors to exercise caution while visiting waterfalls and hilly terrains, stressing that safety must not be compromised for photographs or social media content.
