Bhubaneswar, Feb 1: President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a six-day visit Odisha, with elaborate security and administrative preparations already underway.
In Bhubaneswar, 30 platoons of police force have been deployed along with 4 DCP-rank officers, 5 Additional DCPs, 23 ACPs, 33 Inspectors, and 121 SI and ASI personnel to ensure foolproof arrangements.
According to an official statement, the President of India will
arrive in the capital city on the evening of February 2 and stay overnight at
Lok Bhawan.

She will travel to Jajpur the next day to offer prayers at the Maa Biraja Temple before proceeding to Balasore to attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University. Later in the evening, she is scheduled to visit Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive at the helipad in Puri aboard a special Air Force helicopter and proceed directly to Lok Bhavan for the night stay.

The following day, February 4, the itinerary includes performing rituals at Swargadwar followed by a visit to the Jagannath Temple for darshan of Lord Jagannath.
Ahead of the visit, two helicopters conducted trial landings at the helipad as part of a security rehearsal. Puri SP Prateek Singh, along with administrative officials, reviewed the security arrangements and preparedness. Air Force officers also coordinated the landing drills to ensure seamless execution.
The SP Singh confirmed that a multi-layered security ring has been established covering the helipad, Lok Bhavan, Swargadwar, Jagannath Temple premises, its outer surroundings, Bada Danda, and the entire city of Puri. This extensive arrangement is designed to maintain order and safety during the President’s visit.
Meanwhile, preparations are equally intense in Balasore. Trial runs have been conducted at the university campus with multiple Air Force aircraft landing one after another.
District administration and security forces engaged in
marathon coordination exercises to ensure readiness. The District Collector
stated that all arrangements are being executed strictly as per the President’s
SOP, with continuous monitoring of security measures.
