Sundargarh, Jul 5: In a significant success for anti-Maoist operations, security forces have recovered 30 landmines from the dense Saranda forest.

According to reports, the explosive devices were seized during an intensive search operation conducted across border jungle terrain and hilly areas by a joint team of security personnel and a specialised bomb disposal squad.

The recovered landmines—suspected to be part of an ambush strategy—have been safely defused, averting potential harm to both civilians and patrol teams.

Authorities termed the operation a “major breakthrough,” reflecting increased vigilance in Maoist-affected zones.
