Bhubaneswar, Mar 25: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Wednesday said the second installment of the Subhadra Yojana will be released in March 2025.
The Subhadra Yojana, Odisha government's flagship women's welfare progrmme, was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday on September 17 this year. The first installment of the scheme has been disbursed in three phases since then. The left-out beneficiaries will be disbursed the installement amount(Rs 5000) in the final phase, probably in January.
"So far, 80 lakh women have received money under the Subhadra Yojana. 1 crore women will be included in the yojana by January. The second installment will be released to all the 1 crore beneficiaries in March next year," said CM Mohan Majhi.

✨Majhi stated this at an event that marked the 100th-year celebration of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
As declared earlier by the State government, each installment of Rs 500 will be paid to beneficiaries twice a year-- one on Rakshipurnima and another on International Women's Day (March 8).
