Bhubaneswar, Apr 22: The State government announced the closure of schools and colleges from tomorrow in view of the rise in daytime temperature and heat-wave conditions.
Both government and private educational institutions will remain closed from tomorrow. Any institution that deviates from the government order will face action.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said the Chief Minister has ordered the closure of the educational institution given continuatin of heatwave conditions.
The Minister, however, said students staying in school hostels can pursue studies there. Teachers will be engaged to teach them, he said.

✨District Collectors have been directed to review the situation.
Anganwadi Centres, which were running from 7 am to 8 am, will also be closed, the Minister said. Food will be supplied to the Anganwadi children at their doorsteps, he said.
The Minister also said that scheduled examinations will not be hampered.
