Bhadrak, Jul 30: In response to heavy rainfall across the region, the District Collector have declared closure all schools in three blocks of Bhadrak district.

Waterlogging in low-lying areas, poor visibility, and rising risk of flash floods prompted swift administrative action. Following the advisory, schools in Tihidi, Basudevpur, and Dhamnagar blocks in the district have been declared closed for today.

Local authorities are continuing to monitor the weather situation and will provide further updates as needed.

This closure adds to a string of recent weather-triggered alerts in Odisha, with the IMD forecasting more rainfall over the next 48 hours in coastal districts.
