Sambalpur, Apr 4: In view of soaring heat wave conditions in Sambalpur, the district collector has issued an advisory for safety of people, including children and elderly ones.

In the advisory, the Collector has directed for opening of all government and non-government schools from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM from today.

Besides, he has direted that labourers will never be put to work between 11:00 AM  to 3:30 PM.

He has advised medical authorities to open new sunstroke wards in resspective facility to provide special treatment to people hit by sunstroke.

Besides, he asked for opening  of 'Jalachhatras' (Temporary drinking water supply points) at different places during the day time. Water tanks will be put into service in need of water in the city.

The advisory is issued to the B.D.O, Tehsildar, C.D.M.O, D.E.O and all the B.E.Os.
