The incident, reportedly caused by a short circuit in a panel board, raised alarm among patients and staff, but timely intervention by firefighters prevented a major disaster. According to hospital sources, more than 100 patients were undergoing treatment in the ward when smoke and flames were noticed. Staff immediately alerted authorities, and fire service personnel rushed to the spot. Their swift action ensured that the blaze was contained before it could spread further.
