Sambalpur, July 16: Much to the happiness of animal lovers and environmentalists, the government is set to bring four Royal Bengal Tigers (RBTs) to the Sambalpur Zoo. The RBTs will be brought from various zoos in the country.
The Central Zoo Authority is stated to have approved the Forest Department's proposal.
Notably, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has already permitted to bring four RBTs to the Debrigarh Tiger Sanctuary.

✨According to the Central Zoo Authority and State Wildlife Authority, the shifting process of wild animals started today. As many as 115 heads of deer will be shifted from the Sambalpur Zoo to the Debrigarh Sanctuary.
On the first day today at 3 am, 12 heads of Chitra deer were transferred from Sambalpur Zoo to Dibrugarh. The rest of the targeted 115 cheetah deer will be shifted to Dibrugarh sanctuary in a phased manner.
