Sambalpur, Jan 22: "The double-engine government is committed to protect and the development of 'Gau Sampad'," said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Pradhan, attending the 125th Foundation Day of the Sri Krishna Gaushala in Potapali in Sambalpur, said that the contribution of 'gau mata' to human society is immense.

"Gau mata is the basis of our health. The work of 'Sri Krishna Gaushala' towards the protection and care of gau mata is commendable. The double-engine government is committed to the development of 'gau sampad'," wrote the Union Education Minister in a post on his 'X' handle.

Notably, Pradhan also attended the 'bhumi pujan' (a revered Hindu ceremony performed to honour and seek blessings from Mother Earth before commencing any construction work) for a new project. He also attended the inauguration ceremony of the Sri Radhakrishna Temple in Potapali.

"It is my privilege to be a part of the 125th foundation day of 'Sri Krishna Gaushala', the Bhumi Pujan ceremony for the new project and the inauguration ceremony of Sri Radhakrishna Temple at Potapali," wrote Pradhan in his 'X' post.

The Union Education Minister also said that 'Gau mata' is the "symbol of faith of the Sanatani Hindu society".
