Sambalpur To Be Hub Of Industry And Commerce: Dharmendra Pradhan

Sambalpur, Jan 5: Sambalpur MP and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said all efforts would be taken to make the Sambalpur district a hub of industry and business by utilizing the region's immense potential.
The Union Minister said this at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sambalpur.
"Sambalpur is a city of art, culture, and ancient civilization. The main economy of Sambalpur is trade and commerce. Keeping in mind the needs of the district, not only the industry but also the ease of living of the local citizens will have to be ensured. Basic infrastructure, including roads, electricity, drinking water, health, and education, needs to be improved," said Pradhan.
The Union Minister said the Chamber and Commerce's role in strengthening Sambalpur district's economy is incomparable. Stating that many developmental programs have been undertaken jointly by the Central and the State governments,

✨Pradhan emphasized developing the old Ayodhya Sagar Emankment under the 'Riverfront Development Project. He said the government has taken initiatives to renovate the Hirakud Dam. Efforts are also on to strengthen tourism sectors, including Debrigarh Sanctuary, of Sambalpur, and increase the footfall of tourists, he said, urging the Chamber and Commerce to provide all support.
"The Chamber of Commerce should play a leading role in making Sambalpur a modern and industrial city in the 21st century," contended Pradhan.
