Sambalpur, May 31: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has inaugurated a series of beautification projects in Sambalpur, aiming to enhance the city’s heritage and modern infrastructure.
The initiative, launched during the famous Sheetal Sasthi festival, includes heritage lighting at Charbati Square, along with beautification efforts at Golbazar Square and Shakti Square.
Pradhan emphasized that Sambalpur’s cultural and historical significance deserves modern enhancements, ensuring that the city remains visually appealing and accessible. He stated that with the blessings of Maa Samaleswari, these projects will elevate Sambalpur’s grandeur and contribute to its urban development.
The Union Education Minister also inaugurated beautification projects at Lakshmi Talkies Square, including DMX lighting on the flyover, and revitalization efforts at Gaurishankar Sahani Park in Badabazar, which now features a gym and upgraded park facilities. These improvements aim to enhance public spaces, making them more functional and attractive for residents.
