Salaries Of 48 Employees Withheld For Not Addressing People's Grievances

Cuttack, Mar 2: The Cuttack district administration here has withheld the salaries of at least 48 employees of the State government for negligence in the duty.


Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde withheld the salaries of the employees for the month of February.

The action was taken after the employees did not addressed the grievances of the complainants who complained to the Chief Minister's Grievance Cell.

Following this, the district collector directed the district treasury department to withhold the salaries of around 48 officials of various departments, including BDOs, tehsildars, supply officers, health officials in 10 blocks of Athagarh, Badamba, Narsinghpur and Banki.
