Rs 100 Crore Scam: EOW Raids 8 Locations For Second Consecutive Day

Keonjhar, Mar 5: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch launched a major crackdown into an alleged Rs 100 crore transport fraud case as it continued its raid for the second consecutive day.
The Crime Branch today raided eight locations linked to accused Raja Chakra, an accused in Gandhamardan Loading and Cooperative Society scam. The raids were conducted at various places including Keonjhar, Gopalpur, Bhubaneswar, Koida, Bonai and Dhamra.
The officials also seized at least 10 Hyva trucks near Remuli police outpost.
Contractor and Raja's associate Sudhansu Sekhar Nayak was grilled by the EOW for over eight hours. Two days ago, the investigating agency had questioned BJD leader Soumya Shankar Chakra alias Raja Chakra for 11 hours in connection with the case.
Till now, over 100 accounts, 25 vehicles, several documents have been seized and is being verified.
Earlier on Tuesday, the EOW carried out simultaneous raids at six locations linked to the accused.
