Robbers Flee With Bag Containing Cash Over Rs 2L In Odisha's Banki

Cuttack, Apr 4: In a shocking incident, two miscreants fled away with a bag containing cash over Rs 2 lakh from the dickey of a motorcycle near a market area under Baideswar police limits in Cuttack district.
The incident occurred just 300 meters away from the State Bank India's Banki branch.
According to reports, Rudra Mohan Bhatt, a resident of Kantakai village, had withdrawn Rs 2 lakh from the State Bank branch and locked the cash bag inside the dickey of his scooter before heading to the market. Taking advantage, two individuals swiftly grabbed the bag and fled on a motorbike.
Following the incident, the victim immediately lodged a complaint at Banki police station.
Based on the FIR, police are now investigating the matter, relying on CCTV footage from nearby shops to identify the culprits.
The incident has sparked concern among locals, emphasising the need for heightened vigilance in and around bank premises.
