Cuttack, Aug 4: Subsidence of a portion of road that led to a pond-like crater in the city's Nuapada area has panicked entrepreneurs of the locality. The subsidence occurred due to weak road work, alleged locals.
According to the information, craters have been created at many places in the city due to weak work by Watco. A 30-ft stretch of the Nuapada- Khapuria road subsided as a chamber of Watco leaked.
The crater has posed a life-threatening situation, rued locals.

✨Locals alleged that the Watco authorities didn't take action even though they complained about weak work many times.
"The work was of so low quality that the road subsided after a small spell of rain. A big crater has been created. Luckily, nobody has been hurt," said a resident.
Meanwhile, a Watco official incessant rain caused the incident. The Mayor said a permanent solution would be made soon.
