Cuttack, Aug 24: The Junior Doctors' Association (JDA), SCB Medical College and Hoshpital, Cuttack, has called off its 9-day protest and resumed duties on the assurances from the Supreme Court of India and the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha that appropriate steps would be taken for the safety of doctors.
"In the interest of the nation and the spirit of public service, the JDA has resolved to end the protest in response to the appeal and direction of the Supreme Court and assurance from H & FW, Dept. Govt. of Odisha. We will resume all our duties immediately," said a JDA release.
The JDA extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Supreme Court for acknowledging the RG Kar Medical College incident and addressing the larger issue of healthcare workers' safety and security. It appreciated the establishment of the National Task Force by the SC.

✨The JDA also welcomed the steps and timely actions taken by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha, in response to the JDA's demands. It requested the department to fulfill demands within stipulated time period.
