Remuneration For Krushak Sathis, MDM Cooks And Helpers Increased

Ahead of elections, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today increased the quantum of Contingent Expenditure for Krushak Sathis from Rs 12,000 to Rs 18,000 per annum and monthly remuneration for MDM cooks and helpers from Rs 1.400 to Rs 2,000.
Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: Ahead of elections, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today increased the quantum of Contingent Expenditure for Krushak Sathis from Rs 12,000 to Rs 18,000 per annum and monthly remuneration for MDM cooks and helpers from Rs 1.400 to Rs 2,000.
According to the official statements of the Chief Minister's office, 13,600 Krushak Sathis will benefit from the Contingent Expenditure hike, which will be enforced retrospectively from October 2023.
Notably, two Krushak Sathis are working in each gram panchayat in the State.

✨In the announcement made for cooks engaged in the preparation of Mid-Day Meals, each cook will get Rs 2,000 per month henceforth. In case of the death of a cook or a helper, the family will be given Rs 1 lakh as an ex-gratia. As many as 1.10 lakh cooks and helpers will benefit. This hike will also be operational retrospectively from October 2023.
