Key Points
Odisha takes a giant leap in transparent governance with a cutting-edge project monitoring tool.
Bhubaneswar, Apr 23: In a major step towards enhancing project implementation, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled the "Project Monitoring Dashboard" at the Lok Seva Bhavan on Wednesday.
This innovative dashboard, developed by the State Works Department, is set to provide real-time monitoring of key infrastructure projects, ensuring enhanced efficiency and transparency.
The Chief Minister highlighted that this advanced GIS-based platform will enable seamless tracking of ongoing projects, including their progress at district and block levels. With features like live project tracking, financial monitoring, active alerts for potential risks, and issue tracking, the dashboard aims to eliminate delays caused by land acquisition problems, forest land clearance, and encroachments.
The new system addresses earlier gaps in the monitoring process where delayed updates and slow progress hampered decision-making. The integration of satellite maps and road locators promises to optimize location planning, further driving the economic clarity and timely completion of projects.
Deputy CM Pravati Parida, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, and other ministers, along with officials like Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, and Works Secretary Veer Vikram Yadav joined the event.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this initiative will strengthen Odisha’s infrastructure development and accelerate the vision of a prosperous Odisha.
