Cuttack, Jul 18: The authorities of Ravenshaw University has issued a stringent directive restricting the presence of female staff and students on campus beyond 5:30 PM.

According to the official notification, no female employee, faculty member, or student will be allowed to remain within university premises after the specified time.

The university clarified that this temporary measure will remain in force until a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is introduced.

University authorities stated that the move is temporary and aimed at ensuring a secure environment for women, especially in light of recent concerns.

The administration has yet to clarify the timeline for the new SOP or whether alternative arrangements will be made for evening academic activities and hostel residents.
