Puri, June 30: Though Adapmandap Darshan of the Trinity-- Lord Jagannath and His Siblings, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhara-- started this morning, devotees will not be allowed entry for five hours in the late evening hours as 'Banaklagi' ritual will be conducted, according to Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.

Today, on the occasion of Ashadga Sukla Chaturthi with Panchami tithi, the ritual of ‘Banakalagi’ for the deities will be observed. Therefore, after the second Bhog Mandap offering is completed, public darshan (viewing of the deities) will be temporarily suspended from 9 PM until late night around 2 AM. Considering the crowd, Dutta Mahapatra servitor has requested devotees to plan their visit accordingly.

Notably, the Trinity is currently on an annual sojourn to their birthplace, Shree Gundicha Temple. They came on June 27 in their chariots, named Nandighosh (Lord Jagannath), Taladhwaja (Lord Balabhadra), and Darpadalana (Devi Subhadra). They stayed atop the Raths for two days and were seated on the sanctum sanctorum of Shree Gundicha Temple last evening.

Sacred Adap Abhada (Mahaprasad) will be available to devotees from today.

Devotees have turned up in lakhs to have Darsan of the Deities on the Adap Mandap. Heavy security arrangements have been made and barricades have been erected for crowd management and smooth Darshan.

The deities will be worshipped in the Shree Gundicha Temple till Ashadha Shukla Dashami.

In the middle, the grand rituals of Hera Panchami and Sandhya Darshan will be celebrated. On Panchami, Goddess Laxmi will come from Shreemandir to meet Lord Jagannath to express Her anger that He came with His siblings and didn't bring Her. Lord Jagannath will assure Her that He will return to Shreemandir soon. However, Goddess Laxmi will not be happy and will dismantle part of Nandighosh Rath on Her return to Shreemandir.

On the Ashadha Dashami Day, the deities will return to the Shingadwar of the Shreemandir by their respective chariots. Thereafter attractive Suna Besha, Adharpanad Niti, and Niladri Bije rituals will be organised.
