Bhubaneswar, Aug 19: Rasamani Majhi Monday tied Rakhi to his brother Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. It was the first Rakhi of the day for CM Majhi as Rasamani tied Rakhi at the State Guest House here.
"I used to tie Rakhi to my brother (CM Majhi) alone at home, but right now I'm surrounded by hundreds of sisters who would tie Rakhi to him. And I'm very happy for him. He might be Odisha's Chief Minister, but he is my brother. I don't want any gift from him," said an elated Rasamani.
After Rasamani, Deputy CM Pravati Parida tied Rakhi to CM Majhi. Later several other women also tied Rakhi to Majhi at the State Guest House.

✨CM Majhi had wished everyone on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. "Many many greetings and congratulations to all on the holy Rakhi Purnima (Raksha Bandhan) and the auspicious birthday of the Lord Balabhadra," Majhi wrote on his X handle.
"I Pray to God that the the holy protection sutra (Rakhi) -- a symbol of love, devotion and protection -- make everyone's life better and strengthen the sacred bond of brother and sister," he wrote further.
