Bhubaneswar, Dec 23: After a brief relief, rain is predicted to disturb normal life and damage standing crops in Odisha.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, rainfall will occur for two days from December 24 to 25 by the impact of a low-pressure area likely to form over the west-central Bay of Bengal.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for 7 districts-- Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam.
There is a possibility of moderate rain in nine districts-- Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam. There is a possibility of light rain in 11 districts on May 25. A yellow alert has been issued for five districts for today and tomorrow. These districts are-- Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul and Kalahandi.

✨According to the IMD prediction. visibility will be reduced to 50 meters in morning hours in five districts. Dry weather will prevail across the State from December 26 to 28.
Cold waves and rain may occur on December 29.
Chilly weather will intensify after the next three days, predicted the weather office.
