Bhubaneswar, Apr 9: The Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, is set to welcome devotees with the commencement of ‘Darshan in Queue’ by the end of this month -- April.
As stated by Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, preparations for this significant step have been completed, marking a new chapter in temple management.
Harichandan also revealed that key activities include the formation of a managing committee, scheduled to take place within this week. Following the committee's establishment, the Hundis in the Naata Mandap—a designated space in the temple premises—will be relocated. This relocation process requires two essential approvals: the committee's contractual agreement and the government's permission.
Once the Hundis are relocated, the long-awaited Queue Darshan process will promptly commence. This initiative is expected to streamline and enhance the spiritual experience of visiting devotees in a disciplined manner.
The Shreemandir temple administration remains optimistic about the seamless execution of these plans, ensuring no disruptions to the sanctity and functionality of the temple.
The managing committee's role will be pivotal in overseeing the logistics and coordination necessary for the successful implementation of Queue Darshan. Devotees and tourists are eagerly anticipating this development, which is poised to rejuvenate the spiritual atmosphere of one of India's most iconic temples.
