Puri, Jan 5: An unidentified drone was spotted in the wee hours of Sunday in the no-flying zone over Shreemandir in Puri raising questions over its security.
The drone was reportedly spotted at around 4 am Sunday and it flew over the Shreemandir, which is a no-flying zone, for about half an hour.
So how someone can fly a drone despite the Shreemandir having a three-tiered security, has raised many eyebrows. Police have no information on the person operated the drone.
As per the report, the drone came from side the monastery in the north of Shreemandir after dodging the security guards, and flew over the Nilachakra. Later it came out and flew outside of the 'Singha Dwara' (the lion's gate).
It was not the first instance when a drone flied in the no-flying zone of Puri Shreemandir. While there have been several instances of drones flying over the temple in the past, no tangible action has been taken by the temple administration against the individuals or organisations involved.
However, due to the operation of drones over the temple, there is a chance that many secrets of Mahaprabhu will be exposed. On the other hand, the concerned department had also issued a warning.
However, repeated operations of drones over the Shreemandir breaching the three-tiered security have exposed the negligence of the security guards.
