Puri, Aug 10: Three persons died by drowning while taking bath at Chandrabhaga near Konark. The deceased were identified as Pintu Jena of Pahala and Rahul and Aru Jena of Keshura area in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the trio had ventured into the water to take bath when they slipped into deep water. However, strong currents reportedly pulled them and they went missing.
Soon, fire personnel and local authorities rushed to the scene and launched an extensive search operation. Later, their bodies were recovered.
Local police have registered a case and initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
