Darshan / Puri Srimandir Opens Special Darshan for Divyang, Elderly

Puri, Sept 30: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has introduced dedicated arrangements at the northern gate of Srimandir to ensure smooth darshan for divyang and elderly devotees.
A newly constructed ramp and railing from the Gumuta to Kurma Bedha have been completed, enabling easier access.
To further assist devotees, trained volunteers will be deployed to guide them up to the Natamandap or Jagamohan.

✨Chief Administrator Arabinda Kumar Padhee stated that a mobile application and online system are being developed to facilitate registrations. In the initial trial phase, 50 divyang and elderly devotees will be allowed daily through this facility.
The initiative was discussed in a meeting chaired by the Governor of Odisha, where it was decided that trained volunteers from the Indian Red Cross Society and St. John Ambulance will be engaged.
Padhee has also written to the Puri Collector and District Red Cross Society President to ensure adequate volunteer support.
He emphasized that enabling all devotees to have unhindered darshan of the Chaturdha Vigraha remains the administration’s top priority.
Meanwhile, on September 30, the Shree Gundicha Temple was opened to the public in a ceremonial manner.
For orderly darshan, the temple administration, district authorities, and police have made comprehensive arrangements.
Special provisions including free darshan, wheelchairs,
ramps, and volunteer assistance have also been ensured at Gundicha Temple for
divyang and elderly devotees.
