Puri, June 22: Divine rituals in Shreemandir became lively again as the Trinity- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra- recovered from fever caused by a grand bath on Snan Purnima on June 11. 'Manima', 'Manima' calls will be heard henceforth.
The Trinity had been undergoing herbal treatment in the Anasar Ghar after the celestial bath. They recovered from fever after taking Dashamula on the Ekadashi yesterday.
While the deities were not offered Tulsi and flowers during their stay in the Anasar Ghar, they were offered Tulsi and flowers today. As per tradition, Daitapati servitors will go to the palace and inform the Gajapati about the wellness of the Trinity.
With just four days left for the world-renowned Ratha Yatra, the construction of the chariots is now in its final phase. After the Vishwakarma artisans complete the Prabha (decorative work), the Rupakar servitors are painting the Kirttimukha and crocodile designs on both sides. Yesterday, the Bhoi servitors dismantled the Rathachali (base platforms), and using bamboo supports, raised the 12 ‘dwaraghadas’ (wooden joints of the door frames) of the three chariots.

✨Once all four ‘dwaraghadas’ on the three chariots are raised, and the seventh ‘Haribol’ is chanted, the Singhasana (thrones) and Prabha work will proceed, according to the Bhoi head servitor.
Learning from last year’s incident—where the idol of Lord Balabhadra fell off the Charamala (ladder)—extra caution is being taken this year. The ladders for all three chariots are being reinforced and tested, and measurements have been taken using ropes.
Meanwhile, Chitrakar servitors are painting decorative motifs like natagoda, anlabeda, hansapata, kaniapata, images of side deities, pots, and olata shua ( Inverted Parrots).
