Puri, Aug 13: A disturbing incident has raised serious concerns about the security of the Shree Jagannath Temple and its surrounding Parikrama project area.

A threatening message, allegedly written under the influence of intoxication, was discovered on the stone wall near the Budhi Maa Temple, challenging the safety protocols in place.

The message, laced with violent intent, includes phrases such as “terrorists will destroy the temple” and “if you don’t call, there will be destruction,” along with a phone number and the term “PM” scribbled ominously.

The open defiance of security personnel and the audacity of such an act have sparked alarm among locals and authorities alike.

Following the incident, Puri Police have been alerted and are expected to launch a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrator and assess any potential threat.

Locals have demanded swift action and increased vigilance, especially in areas under the Parikrama redevelopment project.
