Puri, July 9: At least five servitors injured after Lord Balabhadara reportedly slipped on the 'Charamala' during Adapa Mandap Bije pahandi near Gundicha Temple here in Odisha on Tuesday.

The injured servitors were rescued and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital here for their treatment.

The incident occured this evening when the Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, who were atop their three majestic chariots at Saradha Bali, are being escorted to Adapa Mandap of Gundicha Temple.

As per the rituals of the Rath Yatra of the Holy Trinity, the deities are being taken to ‘Adapa Mandap’, also considered their birth place, in Goti Pahandi by the servitors. The ritual, known as ‘Adapa Mandap Bije,’ was underway when the report was filed.
