✨On Friday, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) had paused the procession after Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja chariot became stuck at Balagandi Chhak, preventing the other two chariots—Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalan and Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosh—from reaching the Gundicha Temple.
An estimated one million devotees have gathered in Puri to witness the divine journey.
The Odisha government has deployed extensive security and medical teams to manage the massive turnout.
Officials confirmed that over 600 devotees were treated for exhaustion and minor injuries on Friday, underscoring the scale of the crowd and the importance of crowd control measures.
