Puri, Jul 6: As thousands of devotees flock to the holy city of Puri for the grand Suna besha darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings, the Odisha Government has issued traffic advisory warning.

As per the information, the government has warned a delay of 3-hour at key traffic points.

Key junctions, including Atharanala and Malatipatpur, are expected to be heavily congested. Pilgrims are being advised to plan their travel well in advance and consider public transport options where possible.

The Odisha Police and local administration have reinforced traffic and crowd management measures around Grand Road and major access routes.

In its statement, the I&PR Department emphasized the importance of patience and vigilance. “We urge all devotees to remain calm and work with on-ground personnel. The safety and sanctity of the festival are paramount,” the statement read.

Local authorities have also set up medical aid centers, hydration points, and helplines to support the crowds during the spiritual gathering.

Sunabesha, one of the most sacred events of the Rath Yatra, marks the spectacular appearance of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra in golden attire atop their chariots. Held annually on the Ekadashi following Rath Yatra, the occasion draws an ocean of worshippers from across the state and beyond.
