Puri, Nov 9: In a shocking incident, a woman received critical burn injuries after her saree caught fire near Narendra Pushkarinee in Puri, Saturday morning.
The woman, identified as Sumitra Sahoo, has been admitted to Puri District Headquarter Hospital. She is reportedly out of danger zone and currently her condition is stable.
As per reports, she was lighting a lamp (Deep) at the Shani Temple near Narendra Pushkarinee when her saree caught fire. Most of her body parts have received burn injuries.
The nearby locals immediately doused Sumitra's body and called the ambulance. She was admitted to Puri District Headquarter Hospital for treatment.

In another incident, a fire mishap was reported from the Brit Colony in Badagada, Bhubaneswar. As per the report, the incident took place at a cloth godown in a house.
