Bhubaneswar, Feb 3: President Droupadi Murmu’s six-day tour of Odisha enters a significant phase today as she will travel to Jajpur, Balasore, and Puri, combining spiritual rituals with academic and cultural engagements, officials said on Tuesday.
Early this morning, the President will depart from Lok Bhavan in Bhubaneswar at 8:30 AM. and reach the airport by 8:40 AM. Then, she will proceed to Jajpur, where at 9:50 AM she is scheduled to offer prayers at the revered Maa Biraja Temple and perform pind daan rituals at Nabhi Gaya, a site of immense spiritual importance for ancestral homage.
From Jajpur, President Murmu is scheduled to travel to Balasore to attend the convocation ceremony at Fakir Mohan. The event marks a key academic engagement in her itinerary, reflecting her emphasis on education and youth empowerment.

✨Later in the afternoon, the President will head to Puri, where she will visit the Shri Jagannath Temple and offer prayers to Lord Jagannath and the sibling deities. Tomorrow morning, she will perform pind daan at Shvetaganga Pushkarini before seeking darshan at Srimandir.
The latter part of her Odisha tour will focus on Mayurbhanj
district on February 5 and 6, where she will participate in multiple programmes
highlighting tribal culture, education, and development initiatives.
