Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: President Droupadi Murmu will undertake a six-day visit to Odisha beginning February 2, during which she will launch a series of development projects in her native Mayurbhanj district, attend academic and cultural programmes, and interact with community groups, officials said on Friday.
According to an official statement, the President will arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of February 2 and stay overnight at Lok Bhawan. On February 3, she will travel to Jajpur to offer prayers at the Maa Biraja Temple before proceeding to Balasore to attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University. Later in the evening, she is scheduled to visit Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
President Murmu’s itinerary on February 4 focuses on
Mayurbhanj, where she will inaugurate a holiday home at Mahuldiha in Rairangpur
and visit a girls’ higher secondary school run by the Scheduled Tribe and
Scheduled Caste Development Department. She will also unveil the statue of
Bhanj Bir Sunaram Soren, inaugurate a sports complex at Baidpur, and lay
foundation stones for several development projects in Rairangpur.

✨On February 5, President Murmu will attend a programme at the Rairangpur Jagannath Temple and visit the Similipal National Park, a UNESCO-recognised biosphere reserve known for its rich biodiversity.
The following day, February 6, she will interact with women’s groups and tribal youth in the morning, before attending a summit in Bhubaneswar focusing on social and developmental issues.
The President’s visit will conclude on February 7, when she departs Bhubaneswar for Chhattisgarh.
