Bhubaneswar, June 8: Odisha's capital city, Bhubaneswar, is gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on June 20, as preparations intensify for his participation in the Odisha BJP government’s first anniversary celebrations. This visit marks Modi’s sixth tour of the state since the formation of the double-engine government in Odisha on June 12, 2024.
The Prime Minister is expected to announce several developmental projects for the people of Odisha. The state BJP camp is actively mobilizing support to ensure a grand reception for the event. In anticipation of Modi’s visit, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended an invitation to the people of the state to attend the gathering in Bhubaneswar.
Ahead of the June 20 event, a significant program dedicated to women empowerment, Nari Shakti, will take place in Cuttack on June 13 at the Lower Bali Jatra Padia. Approximately 6,000 women are expected to participate, highlighting key initiatives taken by the state government over the past year to uplift and support women.
